  A Demon Experience?......This was/is very serious to me.

  so when we moved here from maine to okc, six years ago this coming april, my daughter was 7. the military moved us so it brings a big moving truck to your house and unloads all of your stuff etc.

  we had been settling in for a few months and my daughter starting telling me that she was hearing things in her room.

  small things at first, just enough to prick up her ears.

  having read your -rare but valuable- previous posts, I would venture the explanation for the failure of your marriage that your wife simply thought that you were too brainy for her. As AWF pointed out, you write superbly.

  AWF, I've no qualm in believing in evil spirits, and I think that every time some otherwise normal people, like Rwandese, or Germans in the past, engage in mass slaughtering, only evil forces can direct such madness. This is one of the reasons why the JW message about the Devil being in the vicinity of the earth has never sounded weird to me.

  Mill Hill Disfellowshippings

  a few months ago there was a thread about a couple of elders at the mill hill bethel being disfellowshipped because they disagreed with some wt doctrine (i can't recall exactly what it was) and that several other betheliteswere under 'investigation'.

  i haven't heard anything since, does anyone know anything more about this?.

  is Mel Parkin still alive? and does he reside at The London Branch?

  I knew him as a CO in Chelsea around 1978 or 79, he was already all white, looking about 60 of age. Would then be more than 90 by now. I've been told by an English elder that the branch has built special homes for their old faithful servants.

  btw, and off topic, I had a look at Chelsea cong accounts for 2009. The hall is quite small so it must not be a big congregation, unless they merged, say maybe with Fulham (couldn't find the accounting report for the latter) but anyway, they have garnered some £ 62 000 in 2009 and their expenses were less than £ 20 000. Makes a hefty surplus of £ 42 000 !! what on earth have they done with all that money in excess, has the whole of it been funnelled to the branch ?

  armageddon could well come on my 100th birthday!

  Not so sure because at the very time you think you will get hold of the "prize", a kid will overlap your life and He will see Har Magedon, some time around 2150.

  If the 7 times between the fall of Jerusalem and God appointing Jesus as king were calculated out of 365, and not 360 day years, and assuming we keep the - 607 date as the start of the period of time, we would get 7 x 365 = 2555 years, and 1914 would become 1949 (607 + 1949 - 1 = 2555) as the beginning of the last days ! and if we agree with historians who say that Jerusalem fell in - 587, the last days began in 1969.

  Just add 120 years to make room for anti typical Noah's days and you expect ARMAGEDDON FOR 2089, or 2069 (about the date Issac NEWTON foresaw) if you stick to - 607.

A small detail which could make a big difference in your vision, though, Paradise will be run, not by the WTS, which nobody wants, but by God, whom a few still stubbornly and against all odds, want to see as loving.   We have 2 nice Haïtian sisters in my (wife's) congregation whom we are fairly close to, so for this time I prefer giving them hand to hand money because they have their own channels to forward this money or goods to their relatives and friends who live in Port-au-Prince and have been affected.

  I read your posts and find them very interesting. As a long time bethelite, you obviously have an excellent insider knowledge of the organisation. Judging from the acute awareness you've reached about power process within this org, I suppose that you haven't gotten it overnight and it matured as you were still at Mill Hill, which must not have been an easy thing for you to live with. You must indeed have experienced a terrible inner stress due to cognitive dissonance.

  As for your prediction that the GB will soon claim to be the FDS, I can tell you that I heard this assimilation from the platform at the last district assembly I attended 18 months ago in Paris, plainly laid out by a french heavy bethel member you may know, bro. COUSY. I pointed out this afterward with various JWs, nobody seemed to bother. Tells a lot about how mentally dull JWs have become, as regards their own theology.

  i have been thinking a great deal about where i stand at this moment in time in terms of a belief in a creator verses a belief in an evolutionary process.

  i think the best way to describe it is an exploratory path.

  i look at what is around me and i acknowledge it is remarkable.

  What puzzles me is : does the rejection of an abusive organisation have to entail the rejection of a creator in whom we, having been deceived by the WTS but not being totally stupid, had believed wholeheartedly ?
